Trader Joe’s heroes

Trader Joe’s is a food lovers utopia. Filled with tons of unique and delicious sauces, snacks, meals, produce, treats and general groceries. You have to be discerning and careful as there are many sugar and salt laden treats that contain lots of ingredients you don’t want to be eating. These are my three “go-tos” I get every time I go to Trader Joes.

Steamed Lentils - ready to eat and loaded with fiber and protein

Use in:

  • soups

  • mix in salads

  • atop grain bowls

  • with raw veggies for a hearty side

    * may contain traces of wheat - don’t use if celiac

Carrot Ginger Miso Dressing - bright, light and filled with flavor

Use this:

  • on salads

  • over steamed greens

  • with eggs

  • atop grain bowls

Vegan Kale, Cashew and Basil Pesto - rich, complex, hearty flavor

Use this:

  • with pasta

  • atop chicken or white fish

  • as a vegan dip

  • with eggs

  • mixed with quinoa or rice
