How much water is enough?

Water consumption can effect our energy, mood, and overall sense of wellbeing.

What is your water consumption like? Water needs are different for everyone depending on weight, gender, activity level, geography and age. Many of us are not getting enough water and this can lead to fatigue, cravings, headache and mindless eating. The National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine recommend that Men drink 3.7L (about 125 oz) and Women drink 2.7 L (about 91 oz).

I like having a large container of water on the counter to help track water consumption, or use a specific water bottle and count how many bottles I drink per day. Checking the color of your urine is another way to check-in on your hydration. You are aiming for a straw colored appearance.
